Job Description:

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations at Madeleine’s Candy Shop, ensuring a consistently exceptional customer experience, and maintaining the highest standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and organization. This role is both operational and customer-facing, requiring strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating a warm, welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and support all store staff to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to company standards.
  • Assist COO with scheduling shifts, managing time-off requests, and ensuring adequate coverage for all operating hours.
  • Lead by example, modeling professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure every customer is greeted warmly and receives clear instructions for the bulk candy process.
  • Resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of product offerings, seasonal specials, and promotions.
  • Uphold allergen and dietary safety practices and communicate them clearly to customers.
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Ensure all tasks (cleaning, restocking, merchandising) are completed to standard.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment, including Clover POS, lighting, and cleaning tools.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Receive and unpack shipments in a timely and organized manner.
  • Inspect shipments for accuracy, quality, and any potential damage.
  • Organize and store products properly, ensuring FIFO (first in, first out) rotation to maintain freshness.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records in the inventory spreadsheet.
  • Track stock levels and communicate low inventory needs to the owner.
  • Assist in forecasting product needs based on seasonal trends and sales history.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of retail or hospitality management experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in high-traffic situations.
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems (Clover experience a plus).
  • Comfortable with physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs and being on your feet for extended periods.
    

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time position (30–35 hours/week) with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Competitive hourly wage/salary based on experience, plus potential performance-based bonuses.

Job Description:

Be a part of something sweet at Madeleine’s Candy Shop! As a Sales Associate, you will be instrumental in curating an elevated candy-shopping experience and a key contributor to the overall success of the Madeleine's Candy Shop brand. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and engage customers with a friendly, welcoming attitude.
  • Assist customers in selecting products, offering knowledgeable recommendations about our candies and gift options.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system (POS) to process transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Monitor and replenish stock levels to ensure displays remain attractive and fully stocked.
  • Create eye-catching product displays and seasonal decorations.
  • Manage and organize special orders, gift baskets, and event-related requests with attention to detail.
  • Provide clear, accurate answers to customer inquiries about products, ingredients, and allergens.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement in-store promotions and sales strategies.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the store, including counters, shelving, and customer areas.
  • Assist in opening and closing procedures, such as cash handling, end-of-day reports, and store setup.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of store products, promotions, and events to proactively inform and upsell customers.
  • Proactively resolve customer questions and feedback to maintain an elevated candy-shopping experience.

  • Knowledge of social media management, Canva, Clover POS, or Squarespace.
  • A creative flair and passion for design, branding, or marketing.
